Currently pursuing his JD at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, Ephraim Ayil brings an academic and research-intensive approach to his legal studies. His background includes a strong foundation in political science and historical linguistics, which informs his legal education and scholarly output. Ephraim Ayil’s involvement in student legal societies and his receipt of a Dean’s Scholarship underscore his active participation in the legal academic community.
Mr. Ayil previously completed his undergraduate studies at Touro University, where he earned a BA in political science. His academic achievements included placement on the Dean’s List and recognition for outstanding scholarly work, particularly in advanced political theory.
In the policy sphere, Ephraim Ayil held roles in Washington, DC that involved research on educational reform. At Hillsdale College’s Kirby center, he was a research assistant, focusing on education policy and Constitutional studies. He also served Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) with legislative drafting and research for Congressional hearings.
Ephraim Ayil has contributed to academic publications, including a book in Brill’s ALAC series and the journal Vetus Testamentum. His areas of interest span linguistics, jurisprudence, and comparative law, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary legal issues.
